About us
Headquartered in London, we operate internationally and at Lloyd’s. With a global team of over 1000 people and 10 international offices, we’re able to advise from Brussels to Bermuda. As an independent (re)insurance broking firm we work with intermediaries, direct insureds and reinsurers. For over 120 years we’ve been industry leaders in a variety of specialist areas.
The role
Are you an experienced systems training professional who can turn complex business processes and technology into learning experiences people genuinely value?
We are looking for a strategic, engaging and commercially minded Business Systems Training Lead to shape and lead our training offering for business processes and IT systems. This is an opportunity to treat learning as a product: setting a clear vision, building a practical delivery roadmap, measuring results and continuously improving the experience for colleagues across the business.
You will ensure our people have the confidence, knowledge and support to use systems consistently, effectively and efficiently. Working closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and teams throughout the organisation, you will identify capability needs, develop tailored learning solutions and help embed new processes and technologies successfully.
This is a highly visible role, combining hands-on training delivery with strategic ownership. You will be equally comfortable facilitating a workshop, supporting an individual colleague, presenting insight to senior leaders and using data to demonstrate the value and impact of the training function.
A key part of the role will be exploring and applying AI-enabled and modern learning approaches where they can improve accessibility, efficiency and learning outcomes. You will keep the training offer current, relevant and responsive as our systems, processes and business needs evolve.
What you will do
You will design, implement and maintain a high-quality training programme covering our core business processes and IT systems. You will build a clear strategy and roadmap for the training offering, ensuring it has defined objectives, an appropriate budget and meaningful measures of success.
You will partner with teams across the business to understand their needs and translate these into accurate, practical and engaging learning materials. This will include delivering training through a range of formats, from workshops and group sessions to one-to-one support, digital resources and other modern learning methods.
You will evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, user adoption data and performance outcomes, using these insights to refine content, improve delivery and ensure target outcomes are achieved. You will also maintain clear documentation of training activity, materials and guidance for future use.
As new systems and processes are introduced, you will play a central role in supporting implementation and adoption. You will work closely with subject matter experts to ensure content is correct, useful and aligned with operational reality, while providing ongoing support to colleagues as they build confidence in the tools they use every day.
What we are looking for
You will bring previous experience as a systems trainer in a relevant business environment, with a strong understanding of best-practice learning and development methods. Experience within insurance is important, and experience of broking would be particularly valuable.
You will have the ability to lead and develop a training team, manage competing priorities and build a credible delivery pipeline for a training product or service. You will understand how to define objectives, manage budgets and report progress and impact clearly to senior stakeholders.
You will be a confident relationship-builder with excellent stakeholder-management skills, able to work effectively with everyone from C-suite leaders to junior colleagues. You will be naturally curious about technology and have experience of, or a strong interest in, using AI to improve training quality, efficiency and learner outcomes.
Most importantly, you will combine strategic thinking with a practical, people-focused approach. You will be passionate about helping others succeed, comfortable navigating change and motivated by creating learning experiences that make a measurable difference.
Why join us?
This is a chance to make a lasting impact on how colleagues across the organisation adopt, use and benefit from business systems and processes. You will have the scope to shape a modern, data-led training offering and champion innovative approaches that make learning more accessible, effective and engaging.
