Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented, experienced, and commercially minded Finance Manager to take full ownership of our finance function in a highly autonomous, standalone role. Operating remotely, this position will lead our financial strategy while independently managing all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing clear, commercially driven insights to support decision-making across the business. This role requires someone who thrives when working solo, takes accountability for delivering end-to-end finance activities, and is confident shaping financial direction, maintaining strong governance, and driving long-term business performance.
What will you be doing?
- Lead financial management and strategy, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and providing insight to support decision-making, working closely with the CEO and leadership team
- Day to day accounting and bookkeeping, including bank reconciliation, submitting VAT returns, entering purchase and sale invoices, and other end of month tasks
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including expense processing, financial controls, and cost management, driving robust governance across the business
- Continuously improving financial processes, systems, and controls
- Oversee payroll across all entities, liaising with providers and ensuring consistency and compliance across subsidiaries
- Manage invoices, cash flow, and revenue processes, working closely with Sales on billing, forecasting, and commercial insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers including conducting reviews and due diligence; and overseeing payments and cost controls
- Develop and maintain financial policies, ensuring strong internal controls and adherence across the organisation
- Collaborate with wider teams to align financial planning with delivery and drive accountability
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities, leading on problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
What do you need?
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Proven ability to operate with full autonomy, taking ownership of end-to-end finance activities
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making
- Demonstrable experience in forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning
- Knowledge of multi-entity and/or international finance structures (desirable)
- Solid understanding of financial controls, reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the business
- Hands-on mindset, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational delivery
- Clean background check, with the ability to successfully obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
Desirable:
- Experience working within a fast-paced startup environment
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)
- Spanish language proficiency (written and spoken)
- Experience in financial modelling and analysis
- Exposure to business investment activities or funding processes
