Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Sign Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, producing, and installing various types of signage for commercial, retail, and residential clients. This role requires a combination of creativity, and the ability to work with various materials and printing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and prepare custom signage using a variety of materials such as vinyl, wood, acrylic, and metal.
- Operate and maintain sign-making equipment, including plotters, printers, and cutting machines.
- Prepare substrates for printing or painting.
- Work closely with the production Manager to ensure seamless production from concept to completion.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including machine settings, materials used, and product quantities.
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and products.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the relevant team members.
- Assemble, pack, and prepare products for distribution.
- Ensure all products meet quality control standards by inspecting and testing materials.
- Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with workplace regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sign making, graphic design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of materials, production methods, and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of installation processes and handling of large-format signage.
