About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Officer to join the Legal and Compliance Services team, this is a friendly, supportive, and expert team focused on protecting the University from risk and ensuring strong governance, assurance and compliance.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing day to day management and administration of insurance services across the University including liaising with staff and insurers to ensure effective communication and efficient administration of claims
Ensuring appropriate and cost effective cover is in place at all time covering property, liability, staff, students, and specialist activities
Responding to queries from departments and providing advice and guidance on insurance matters

About You
As Insurance Officer, you will have:
Thorough understanding of insurance policy matters
Experience in providing advice on insurance cover for a large organisation and manging complex insurance records including cover and claims management
Good understanding of how ICT can be exploited to enhance and support customer-facing business processes
Ability to highly and effectively plan and organise service delivery and be responsive to business needs
Ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence in engagement with stakeholders with different priorities
