We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our friendly Litigation team in Thame. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the fee earners and paralegals in the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, letters, forms, and reports

Audio typing and transcribing dictation from solicitors and other legal staff accurately and promptly.

Supporting the production of bundles, enclosures, and other case-related documentation.

Maintaining accurate records on our case management system

Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, and directing queries appropriately

Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring sensitive information is handled securely.
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.

Opening new files and closing files when a matter is complete

Providing general administrative support to fee earners and the wider office team.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a legal secretary, legal administrator, or similar administrative role preferred.
- Strong audio typing / dictation skills and fast, accurate typing speed.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and document formatting ability.
- Good understanding of legal terminology and legal office procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and maintain confidentiality at all times
This is a full-time permanent position based in one of our Thame offices, Monday to Friday, 9am 5.30pm.
