Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Event First Aider to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during various events. This vital role involves providing immediate medical assistance, managing minor injuries, and supporting emergency response procedures to create a secure environment. Duties
- Provide first aid treatment for injuries and medical emergencies during events, including wounds, sprains, and minor illnesses
- Assess situations quickly using triage techniques to prioritize care effectively
- Administer basic life support (BLS) and assist with patient care in accordance with established protocols
- Support emergency services by communicating clearly and coordinating response efforts when necessary
- Conduct physical examinations and evaluate patient conditions using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, treatments provided, and patient details in line with aseptic techniques
- Assist with logistical tasks such as heavy lifting of medical equipment and ensuring accessibility for all attendees
- Drive designated vehicles if required to transport patients or supplies safely
Experience
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as hospitals or emergency response teams
- Prior involvement in event first aid or similar roles providing patient care in dynamic environments
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration, and injection techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, physical examinations, and aseptic procedures
- Experience in triage assessment and managing multiple casualties efficiently
- Valid driving license for transportation duties; ability to handle heavy lifting safely
- Strong understanding of hospital protocols and emergency response procedures
