The Check Supervisor supports the Check Manager and is primarily responsible for assisting them in delivering aircraft maintenance input in line with the agreed plan, including acting as first-line customer interface for over-and-above work ensuring that they are signed off by the on-site rep prior to the work commencing and/or prior to any over-run.
Act on any service bulletin/additional data/technical support requests required by Production, liaising with WASL departments and the customer representative as needed

Assist the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance in accordance with the delivery plan. Ensure delivery plan is updated and accurate

Review the maintenance budget and ensure budget overruns are re-estimated by zonal Engineers and Lead Mechanics on a regular basis

Review hours from booking report to identify any potential overruns on over-and-above (O&A’s) or any booking errors which may affect O&A’s ensuring that they are signed off by the on-site rep prior to the work commencing and/or prior to any over-run

Use information management system (currently Tracking+) to track budgets, O&A items and daily status reporting

Prepare and distribute Status Reports and be part of customer, production daily meetings and shift handovers

Lead and represent on behalf of the check manager if required, any status report meeting with customers or internal meetings such as daily progress meetings and handover activities

Support the Check Manager reviewing closed maintenance cards and liaise with document controller to correct any findings

Manage personnel allocation daily with check managers and zonal leaders

Liaise with the Resources Controller to assure adequate levels of manpower is available to deliver contracted maintenance

Liaise with all third-party working parties to ensure PO’s are issued and work is carried out. Act as a point of contact for third parties on site

Coordinating contracted and sub-contracted activities to maintain project timelines. Ensure all relevant documentation is received to enable task closure

Raise any inaccuracy, ambiguity or deficiency identified in the MOE or associated procedures to the Check Manager

Support check managers during candidate interviews and annual performance reviews

Ensuring personnel comply with the MOE and enforce the required standards of regulatory and company requirements

Identification of continuous improvement (CI) opportunities and supporting CI projects and activities

Knowledge of at least one aircraft, engine or product type (design, mechanical & electrical systems, structures, materials & supporting ground systems) (Desirable)

Effective leadership, management, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence others

Minimum of 5-years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness control environment

Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe maintenance practices

Technical knowledge representative of the products/types listed in WASL MOE (e.g. AML Type Ratings, General Familiarisation courses and/or related experience)

Comprehensive knowledge (training) and understanding of Part-145 and any associated regulatory requirements

Comprehensive knowledge (training) and understanding of Maintenance Organisation Expositions (MOE)

Proficiency with Tracking+ (or equivalent maintenance tracking system)

Knowledge of maintenance standards

Initial Human Factors (HF) training

Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) training

Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) training

English Language proficiency (Written & Spoken)
