Graduate Residential College Support Worker
Location: Lancaster, LA2
Pay: £14.20 per hour
Hours: Full-time, permanent night shifts, including evenings and weekends
About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join a specialist residential college, supporting young adults with additional needs in their on-campus homes.
As a Residential College Support Worker, you'll help students with learning disabilities, autism, and other additional needs develop the confidence, independence, and life skills they need for adulthood. You'll provide support outside the classroom, creating a safe, positive, and nurturing residential environment where students can thrive.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or anyone considering a career in education, social care, psychology, SEND, or youth work who wants valuable hands-on experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting students with daily living skills, including cooking, personal routines, budgeting, and organisation.
- Encouraging independence and helping students achieve their personal goals.
- Providing emotional support and building positive, trusting relationships.
- Supporting evening, overnight, and weekend activities within the residential setting.
- Working closely with education and care teams to ensure each student's individual needs are met.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the wider support team.
