Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong focus on patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment. The Pharmacy Dispenser will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing prescriptions, while providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in medication administration, ensuring that patients receive the correct dosages and instructions for use.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient queries and offering advice on medication usage.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
- Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications as necessary.
- Assist in training new staff members when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy DISPENSER or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding their medication needs.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards at all times.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
