Technical Cleaner

ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. We are now looking for a Technical Cleaner to join our hygiene team and support the safe, efficient running of our production operation.
About the Role
Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will carry out deep cleaning of machinery and equipment to the highest standards. You will work closely with production teams to ensure cleaning schedules are completed efficiently, maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance at all times.
Shift pattern- 4 on 4 off- 6am- 6pm OR 6pm- 6am
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out effective cleaning of machinery and equipment to agreed schedules and standards.
- Complete all cleaning records accurately, both paper and digital.
- Coordinate with production teams to plan and complete line deep cleans.
- Maintain strict hygiene, contamination control and waste management standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety requirements.
- Support housekeeping standards and aim for consistently high audit scores.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards, including BRC requirements.
- Identify and support improvements to hygiene processes and efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a hygiene, cleaning or production environment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to high standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable, proactive approach with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow structured procedures (SOPs).
