About The Wellness
The Wellness is a doctor-led clinic in London focused on prevention, advanced diagnostics, and personalised care for individuals and organisations. We support high-performing individuals through comprehensive executive health assessments, biomarker analysis and tailored health plans that go beyond the standard annual check-up, and we design bespoke corporate Wellness programmes, from on-site assessments and preventative screenings to strategic consulting that improves productivity and talent retention. Grounded in functional medicine and cutting-edge diagnostics, we address sleep, stress, hormones, nutrition, and lifestyle in an integrated way with the aim of preventing health issues before they arise and helping people sustain long-term performance and wellbeing.
We're also a growing health tech company. Every clinician who joins us practises on our own platform, WA\
Why this role is different
As a clinician at The Wellness, you get full access to WA\, the platform we've built so doctors can spend their time with the patient instead of on admin.
- Notes that write themselves. An ambient scribe drafts your consultation note as you go. You simply review, edit, and sign.
- Letters in seconds. Referral letters, clinic letters, and patient explanations are drafted straight from the consult, carrying your name, your registration, and your signature.
- Evidence, cited. Clinical questions answered in seconds from current guidance and the most recent peer-reviewed research, every answer cited, so you can trust and check it.
- A real clinical record. Your encounters and documents live in a clinician friendly workspace, not a notes app.
The role
This is an ad hoc, sessional role for a GP with a special interest in dermatology, delivering both general practice care and dermatology-focused assessment and minor skin procedures to our individual and corporate clients. This role is primarily in-person, as it includes hands-on treatments and lesion work, though you'll also carry out video and telephone consultations for assessment, follow-up, and triage. Our clinic is open seven days a week, so you can build sessions around your existing commitments and other roles.
Day to day, you will:
- Assess and manage a broad range of adult dermatology presentations, including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, pigmentation and hair and nail complaints
- Carry out skin lesion assessment and dermoscopy, screen for skin cancer, and recognise red flags requiring urgent onward referral
- Perform minor skin procedures in clinic, such as cryotherapy, curettage and cautery, and minor excision or biopsy of benign and suspicious lesions as appropriate
- Support our preventative and executive health work with mole checks and full skin examinations as part of comprehensive assessments
- Deliver focused telephone and video consultations for time-sensitive and routine needs such as prescriptions, fit notes, and follow-up
- Work alongside our GP, aesthetic and specialist network, referring on to secondary care dermatology where a case falls outside the scope of primary care management
- Take part in internal case discussions, continuous professional development, and the refinement of clinical protocols to ensure evidence-based, high-quality care
What we're looking for
- GMC registration (with a licence to practise) and eligibility to work as a GP in the UK
- Substantial experience as a practising GP, with a demonstrable special interest in dermatology (for example RCGP/BAD-accredited GPwSI/GPwER status in dermatology, a relevant diploma, or equivalent supervised experience)
- Confident and independently competent in dermoscopy and minor skin surgery, including cryotherapy, curettage and cautery, and excision or biopsy, with your own record of procedures performed
- Sound clinical judgement in recognising suspected skin cancer and when to refer under the two-week-wait or equivalent private pathway
- Genuine interest in preventative care and advanced diagnostics, and comfort working within a functional-medicine-informed model
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex medical information clearly and empathetically to a diverse patient base
- Comfort working with executive and corporate clients, including corporate wellness initiatives and on-site assessments
- Confident working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Based in or around London
