3-year term (renewable)
The West Midlands Synod is seeking a committed person with financial experience to join our team as Synod Treasurer. This is a significant and rewarding leadership role at the heart of our Synod’s mission, supporting good stewardship, sound financial governance, and long-term strategic planning.
Key aspects of the role:
- Working with the Finance Team and Synod Officers
- Strategic financial planning and investment oversight
- Oversight of budgeting, accounts, and financial administration
- Supporting churches and committees with financial guidance
- Presenting financial matters at meetings
We are looking for someone with:
- Financial management experience
- Understanding of charity governance
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work confidently with people at all levels
An accounting qualification and experience in the charitable/faith sector is helpful but not essential.
