Field Service Engineer
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £17 – £22 per hour (DOE)
Overtime: Uncapped, paid at time and a half
Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and practical Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a mobile role involving the service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of equipment at customer sites. If you come from a plant, agricultural or automotive background, your skills and experience will translate perfectly into this position.
You’ll be trusted to work independently in the field while representing the company in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on customer equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Completing job reports and paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
- Working safely and in line with company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Workshop Engineer
- Background in agriculture, plant machinery, HGVs, automotive or similar
- Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills
- Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach
