Join us at the Green Duck Beer Co. Taproom! We're looking for experienced team members to push our business forwards. An interest in beer is a big bonus, but drinks knowledge and enthusiasm for alcohol in general is a plus. This job suits someone who doesn't want all the hours under the sun, but has a genuine enjoyment for bar work and hospitality.
Duties
- Serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently to customers in accordance with licensing laws and company policies
- Take orders and handle cash or card payments with precision using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping surfaces, washing glassware, and restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper handling and storage of food and drinks
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about products
- Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods by demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Assist with setting up events or special occasions within the taproom when required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Pay: £12.21-£12.40 per hour
