We are looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant to join our community pharmacy team.
This is an entry-level, patient-facing role mainly focused on the pharmacy counter, customer service and supporting day-to-day pharmacy services. Full training will be provided for the right candidate while completing the Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship.
Main duties include:
- Serving patients and customers at the pharmacy counter
- Helping with prescription collections and patient queries
- Answering phone calls and taking clear messages
- Giving basic over-the-counter medicine advice under pharmacist supervision
- Supporting pharmacy services such as blood pressure checks, vaccination enquiries and other service bookings
- Helping with stock control, deliveries, date checking and shelf organisation
- Keeping the counter, shop floor and healthcare areas clean, tidy and well presented
- Supporting the wider pharmacy team when needed
- Completing apprenticeship training, coursework and assessments
The successful candidate should have:

- Confidence speaking to patients
- Good customer service skills
- Good attention to detail
- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to learn
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
No previous pharmacy experience is required, as full training will be provided.
This role is subject to successful enrolment onto an approved apprenticeship programme and eligibility checks.
Pay: £8.00 per hour
