Purpose of the Role:
The Group Consolidation and Tax Accountant will own the Group's global financial consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely and group reporting.
The role will lead consolidation adjustments and journals at TopCo level, manage the Group tax position and strategy, and support projects relating to the Group's legal and financial structure. The role will work closely with finance teams, external advisers and senior leadership to deliver high-quality reporting and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of the Group's financial results, including Management Accounts and Board Reporting.
- Prepare all consolidation adjustments, elimination journals, group foreign currency translations and technical accounting entries.
- Maintain and improve the Group consolidation process and systems.
- Support production of Group statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
- Manage Group corporation tax, deferred tax and (while not directly responsible), oversee international tax compliance with external advisers.
- Support the Group's tax strategy and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and manage risk.
- Lead or support projects involving acquisitions, disposals, legal entity restructures and Group financing.
- Provide technical accounting support on IFRS/FRS102 matters.
- Build strong relationships with finance teams across the Group to ensure consistent reporting.
- Produce analysis for the CFO, Executive Team and Board while driving continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (CTA or strong tax experience desirable).
- Strong international Group consolidation experience across multiple legal entities, to include all consolidation and foreign exchange adjustments as applicable for an international group
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge (FRS102 and IFRS essential).
- An understanding of corporate and international tax.
- Experience working with auditors and professional advisers.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, restructurings and finance projects.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience of consolidation software such as OneStream or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and committed to improving processes.
