Summary:
Betts Ecology is an ecological consultancy that has been running for forty years. We are a small, friendly team, based at two main offices, Worcester and Halifax.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Halifax team for a driven and dedicated Sales and Operations Executive to join us and drive forward our family-run Ecological Consultancy and Conservation Land Management Company.
Based in/near Halifax town centre, with some working from home required, you will join the northern office team, covering Sales and Operations across the UK.
Key Objectives:
· To carry out sales activities to develop and maintain Betts Group Services in accordance with stated policies and agreed Business Plans.
· To ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning.
· To co-ordinate projects, staff and resources to assure profitability and timely completion of works.
· To build and maintain positive client and colleague relationships inside and outside the business.
· Liaison with Science Team, Customer Services Team, Subcontractors and any associated Third Parties.
· Maintenance of Contractor and Subconsultant databases and associated documentation.
· To support the Technical & Operations Director in all aspects of their role.
Required Attributes
In all instances the job-holder will be expected to have:
· Experience working in a Sales environment.
· Experience in client liaison.
· Excellent time-management skills.
· Experience of using Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite, or equivalent.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Customer orientation and the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
· The ability to work in a variable, high-paced environment with flexibility, while prioritising and managing time effectively.
· A good level of written English.
· A full (ideally clean) driving licence and have their own vehicle (relevant expenses paid).
Desirable Attributes
It would be advantageous to be able to demonstrate:
· Experience selling to the Ecological and/or the Construction Industry.
· Experience of UK ecological and/or environmental regulations/legislation.
· Experience of landscape/public open space management.
· Knowledge of ecology, biodiversity and the importance of their role in construction and landscape management.
