Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a focus on providing excellent service as a delivery driver.
Duties
- Operate a lorry safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Picking and Packing in some circumstances will also be required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
