Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to our guests, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with experience in catering, serving, or food preparation. Previous restaurant or barista experience is highly desirable. Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas and service stations
- Support catering events by setting up, serving, and clearing tables
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using POS systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest needs promptly
- Restock supplies and assist in the overall smooth running of the service area
- Support bar operations with basic drink service if applicable
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings as required
