Job Purpose
To support the efficient operation of the logistics and recycling process by preparing scrap plastic materials for granulation, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and assisting with waste management and recycling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plastic Preparation
- Cut and prepare scrap plastic materials ready for granulation
- Ensure materials are sorted and handled correctly prior to processing
- Granulation Support
- Assist in the handling and movement of materials to and from the granulator
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation around the granulation area
- Baling Operations
- Operate cardboard balers safely and efficiently
- Operate polythene balers to process recyclable waste
- Ensure bales are secure and stored correctly
- Housekeeping
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within and around the granulator area
- Keep internal and external work areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free
- Ensure pallets are stacked, sorted, and prepared for recycling
- Health & Safety
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Report hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly
- Use PPE as required at all times
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in logistics, manufacturing, or recycling (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience in using a bandsaw
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks
- Good awareness of health and safety practices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills and ability to manage workload effectively

Working Hours & Pay
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Pay Rate: £13.24 per hour

Pay: £13.24 per hour

Experience:
- Bandsaw Operation : 1 year (preferred)
