Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting for dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Assess each dog’s coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques accordingly
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger or heavier dogs safely and comfortably
- Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of pets, clients, and staff during all grooming procedures
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided, special instructions, and pet health considerations
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed grooming styles
- Knowledge of veterinary practices or experience working alongside veterinary professionals is highly desirable
- Familiarity with animal care standards, handling techniques, and breed-specific grooming requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy dogs safely and comfortably as part of routine grooming tasks
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment that values attention to detail and safety standards
