General Builder / Maintenance Operative

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm
£16–£18 per hour, depending on experience
Nostell Priory Holiday Park is looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder / Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is practical, takes pride in their work and can turn their hand to a wide range of building, repair and maintenance jobs around the holiday park.
The role
You will be responsible for carrying out general building, repairs and maintenance across the park, helping us keep the site, facilities and holiday homes in excellent condition.
The work will be varied, so we're looking for someone who is genuinely multi-skilled rather than someone who only specialises in one trade.
Typical jobs may include:
- General building and repair work
- Carpentry and joinery
- Fencing and gates
- Groundwork and basic landscaping
- Brickwork and pointing
- Plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Basic plumbing and repairs
- Repairing and maintaining park buildings and facilities
- General maintenance of holiday homes and communal areas
- Installing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings
- Small improvement and refurbishment projects
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and tidy
- Helping with general site maintenance when required
No two days are likely to be exactly the same.
The person we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in building, construction or property maintenance
- Is confident working independently and using their own initiative
- Has a good range of practical skills
- Takes pride in producing a good standard of work
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Has good attention to detail
- Can identify problems and work out practical solutions
- Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Has a professional and friendly attitude
- Works well as part of a small team
A driving licence would be advantageous.
Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but practical experience and the ability to do the job well are more important to us.
What we offer
