About the Role
At World Famous Dive Bars, we're looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Operations Assistant to support the smooth running of our pubs and the wider business. This is a varied role that offers hands-on experience across operations, administration, finance and business development within a growing hospitality business.
Based at our Head Office at The Colosseum, you'll support managers with operational projects, improve internal processes, analyse business performance, and contribute to initiatives across the business. Although previous bar experience is not essential, the Operations Team works to support the bars within our ground, getting stuck in where needs be, including working on the floor or on sites for launch nights of new venues.
Typical hours of role are between 9.30am-5.30pm, but may include evening and weekend work.
This role has been shaped through our partnership with the University of Bristol Internship Programme. Trialling the job role as an internship has helped us create a position that offers meaningful responsibility, varied experience and excellent opportunities for professional development.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Helping to improve internal processes through administrative and operational streamlining.
- Maintaining accurate staff directories and organisational information to support onboarding and team operations.
- Completing account setup processes and handling administrative documentation with suppliers, staff and partners.
- Supporting financial administration through purchase coordination and proactive follow-up on quotes and supplier responses.
- Managing incoming correspondence and ensuring communications reach relevant team members promptly.
- Building strong relationships through communication between staff and suppliers.
- Providing flexible administrative and operational support across a range of business projects and priorities.
- Playing an important role in ensuring operations run smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- An organised individual with good timekeeping, who takes initiative, and completes tasks with an eye for detail.
- Experience in an operations, administration, hospitality or customer service role.
- Enjoys working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication. following communication pathways as set by the business.
- Comfortable communicating professionally via phone and email.
- Good working knowledge of Google Drive and digital systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Interest in hospitality, business operations or administration.
- Experience creating procedure documents or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
