As a Payment Support Advisor at Amplius, you’ll work with customers to manage rent, sort out payments, and find solutions that work for them. You’ll provide friendly, practical support while helping people stay on track financially and keeping our communities strong and secure.
Salary: £19,033.82 per year (FTE £34,498.80)
Contract: Permanent, part time
Your week: 20 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm (times are negotiable)
Location: Hybrid with a weekly presence in either our Milton Keynes or Rushden office

Snapshot of your role

Manage rent and other customer accounts, monitoring arrears and taking timely action to minimise debt

Act as the main point of contact for the Payment Support Service, handling incoming enquiries and proactively engaging with customers

Negotiate affordable and sustainable repayment arrangements, balancing customer needs with the organisation’s income priorities

Provide clear and professional advice on budgeting, benefits, and financial support, signposting to specialist services when needed

Maintain accurate case notes and records in housing management systems, ensuring all interactions are logged correctly

Prepare and progress formal recovery actions, including Notices of Seeking Possession, in line with policy

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a coordinated approach to arrears management
What we’re looking for
- Educated to Level 3 (e.g. A-levels, NVQ, or equivalent experience)

Experience of working in a front facing, customer focussed role
-
Experience in rent or income recovery, credit control, or financial support within a customer service environment

Experience communicating effectively with customers via telephone and written correspondence
-
Awareness of data protection, confidentiality, and equality requirements in service delivery

Excellent telephone manner and ability to manage challenging conversations professionally.

Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and caseloads.

Sound judgement and decision-making when progressing cases.
