Gag Reflex are one of the biggest promoters at the Edinburgh Fringe! We produce comedy, cabaret, music and variety acts. We have 18 shows this Fringe ranging across 4 venues.
We pay £14.24 per hour including holiday allowance (average day’s work is between 4-6 hours.)
Where possible we provide venue passes, allowing you to see lots of great shows for free!
Join our Street Team and be at the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe! This is a lively, people-focused role perfect for anyone passionate about comedy and the arts. You'll spend your days out in the city, engaging with festival-goers, promoting exciting shows, and helping to build buzz around our programme.
It's a great opportunity to earn money while experiencing one of the world's biggest festivals up close - with the added perk of seeing fantastic shows along the way. If you're confident, outgoing, and enjoy connecting with new people, this is a fun and fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
Job Requirements
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable approaching new people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in comedy, theatre, or the performing arts
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment
- Must be based in Edinburgh and available from 3rd August to 31st August
- Availability for 4-6 hour shifts, with at least two days off per week
Job Responsibilities
- Engage confidently with members of the public to promote our shows
- Distribute flyers and actively encourage audience attendance
- Speak knowledgeably and enthusiastically about our acts and programme
- Contribute to increasing ticket sales across all venues
- Represent Gag Reflex in a friendly, professional, and energetic manner
- Work collaboratively with the team and make the most of the Fringe experience
