Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Governance Manager to oversee and enhance the quality and safety standards within our healthcare organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, analysing clinical data, and fostering continuous improvement across clinical services. Duties
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of clinical governance frameworks to ensure adherence to national standards and best practices.
- Analyse clinical data using SQL and Microsoft Excel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for quality improvement.
- Monitor incident reports, audit outcomes, and patient feedback to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop action plans addressing areas of concern or non-compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff regarding governance policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate training sessions on clinical governance topics and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, IT systems, and industry developments related to clinical governance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a clinical governance or healthcare quality management role.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong organisational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Good IT literacy with an understanding of healthcare information systems.
- Organised approach with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
