STP Developers is looking for a skilled and curious Software Developer to join our growing technical team. You will help design, build and improve high-quality software solutions, working closely with colleagues to turn business requirements into reliable, maintainable products.

What you will be working on
- Developing, testing and maintaining software applications and services.
- Collaborating with product, project and technical colleagues to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Writing clean, well-structured and maintainable code in line with agreed development standards.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to technical discussions.
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving software defects and performance issues.
- Supporting the full development lifecycle, including planning, estimation, testing, release and documentation.
- Improving existing applications through refactoring, automation and continuous improvement.
- Integrating systems and third-party services where required.
- Contributing to secure development practices and protecting the quality, reliability and performance of our software.
- Keeping up to date with relevant technologies and sharing knowledge with the wider team.
What will help you succeed
- Commercial experience as a Software Developer, Full-Stack Developer, Backend Developer or similar.
- Strong knowledge of at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks.
- Experience developing web applications, APIs, databases or cloud-based systems.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles, version control and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Confidence working with relational databases and writing efficient queries.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to explain technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset, balanced with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methods, CI/CD pipelines or cloud platforms would be advantageous.
