Overview
Anders Mechanical Services are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our project delivery team.
This is a site-based role responsible for supervising the day-to-day mechanical installation works on new build projects, working closely with the Mechanical Project Manager to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to a high standard.
We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who is comfortable managing employed operatives and subcontractors, planning labour and materials, resolving site issues and being hands-on where required.

Role Overview
As Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of mechanical works on site, reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager.
You will plan and organise labour, coordinate employed operatives and subcontractors, ensure materials are available when required and monitor the quality and progress of installations.
The role requires someone who is proactive and able to identify and resolve issues on site before they impact the programme. You will also be expected to assist with installation works where and when required.
Projects include:
- New build residential and apartment developments
- Purpose-built care homes
- Commercial new build schemes
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation works on site
- Manage and coordinate employed operatives and subcontractors
- Plan labour and site activities in line with the construction programme
- Monitor progress and report back to the Mechanical Project Manager
- Order and manage materials required for site activities
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant standards
- Carry out quality checks and manage snagging and remedial works
- Identify and resolve technical and installation issues
- Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and the main contractor's site team
- Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with RAMS and site requirements
- Assist with testing, commissioning and project completion activities
- Maintain good housekeeping and organisation of mechanical materials and working areas
- Assist with mechanical installation works where required
- Support apprentices and less experienced members of the team
- Use company site management and quality systems as required
Requirements
- Strong practical background in plumbing, heating and mechanical services
- Previous experience supervising mechanical installations on construction projects
- Good knowledge of heating, hot and cold water, ventilation and associated mechanical systems
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan labour, materials and site activities
- Confident managing both directly employed operatives and subcontractors
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
- Able to work independently while reporting effectively to the Mechanical Project Manager
- Willingness to remain hands-on and assist the site team when required
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent mechanical trade qualification
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- CSCS Supervisor card
- Relevant plumbing, heating or mechanical qualifications
- Experience working on new build residential, apartment or care home projects

Pay: £25,420.00-£52,067.17 per year
