Bird-Dog Grooming is an established business entering its seventh year providing a full service of grooming and a curated store. Every service we provide is guided by our values: integrity, sustainability, ethical consumerism, and uncompromising professionalism.
We're looking for a salon manager and lead groomer who is capable of inspiring and motivating a team to succeed. An ideal candidate will have a history of managing teams, with an ability to quickly identify problems and solve them effectively, ensuring the success of our business.
They will be an experienced and qualified dog groomer with recent experience of working in a busy, reputable grooming salon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the employees and ensure their health and safety.
- Manage the schedule of employees to ensure that they meet targets while receiving proper breaks.
- Complete to a high standard an agreed number of grooms per week.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, billing customers and collecting payments.
- Communicate company policy and procedures to all team members in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Manage bookings and staff schedules to maximise the number of appointments and ensure effective staff utilisation
- Manage cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Maintain in-store displays following company guidelines.
- Update the company’s social media channels with new content.
