Majic is a fast-growing, founder-led food brand creating seriously indulgent, high-protein desserts.
We produce our products from our dedicated unit at FoodWorks SW in Weston-super-Mare, where our small team makes, assembles and packs every Majic product. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Food Production Operative to join our team full-time.
The role
You will be involved in the day-to-day production of Majic products, helping us make sure every batch is produced safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to somebody who enjoys working as part of a small team, takes pride in their work and is comfortable in a busy food production environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Weighing and preparing ingredients accurately
- Mixing and producing doughs, sauces and other product components
- Portioning, assembling, decorating and packing finished products
- Operating food production and packaging equipment
- Following recipes, production plans and batch instructions
- Completing basic production, traceability and quality-control records
- Checking product appearance, weight, texture and packaging
- Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment, utensils and production areas
- Receiving, rotating and organising ingredients and packaging
- Reporting production issues, shortages or quality concerns
- Supporting the wider team to complete production targets on time
About you
We are looking for somebody who:
- Has previous experience working in food production, manufacturing, catering or a similar environment
- Understands the importance of hygiene, allergens and food safety
- Can follow recipes and written production instructions accurately
- Is confident weighing ingredients and working with numbers
- Is reliable, punctual and able to work at a consistent pace
- Pays close attention to detail and product quality
- Is comfortable carrying out repetitive and physically active tasks
- Works well independently and as part of a small team
- Is willing to help across different areas of the production process
- Has a positive attitude and wants to grow with the business
Food hygiene training would be beneficial, although additional training will be provided.

Physical requirements
The role involves standing for extended periods, carrying ingredients and packaging, moving equipment, working in chilled areas and completing repetitive production tasks. Reasonable adjustments can be discussed during the recruitment process.
