Nursery Room Leader
Location: Tots and Scholars Nursery & Preschool
Hours: Full Time
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
- Strong knowledge and delivery of the EYFS framework
- Previous room leadership or senior practitioner experience
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Experience supervising and supporting staff
- Strong observation, assessment and parent partnership skills
About the Role
As Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
You will:
- Lead planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing and development at all times
- Deploy staff effectively and maintain ratios
- Lead and support your team through supervision and guidance
- Build strong partnerships with parents and external professionals
- Ensure full compliance with nursery policies, safeguarding and health & safety
You will act as a professional role model, creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
