Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping experience, ensuring they feel valued and supported
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and process donations with care
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor, ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed
- Support inventory management by sorting, pricing, and tagging donated items appropriately
- Use IT systems to record sales, update stock levels, and manage donation logs effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with administrative tasks such as stock reports, donation records, and shop correspondence to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Basic IT literacy to navigate sales systems and recordkeeping software confidently
- Previous administrative experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes or rearranging stock
- Enthusiasm for working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail
