Overview
is looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our growing team.
We carry out infrastructure and civils works across the East and South East of England, including concrete bases, hand excavation, ducting and associated groundworks.
The Role
Your day will start from our yard in Chelmsford, where you’ll collect a company van, load the required materials and equipment, and travel to site. Some projects are local, while others may be up to a couple of hours away, so you must be comfortable travelling and starting work early when required.
Responsibilities
- Hand digging and preparing concrete bases.
- Excavation in all ground conditions.
- Installing ducting and carrying out general groundwork tasks.
- Loading and unloading materials and tools.
- Working safely and efficiently on live construction sites.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Groundworker is essential.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Comfortable driving long distances when required.
- Physically fit and capable of manual work in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- CSCS card preferred (but not essential if the right experience is demonstrated).
