Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a safe working environment
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are organised and tidy
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the serving team during busy periods by clearing tables and delivering items as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary practices and hospitality operations
- Successful candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to the working hours required.
- Full flexibility across the seven day week, including weekends and bank holidays is essential due to the busy nature of the business.
