Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Supervisor specialising in Substation works, at Necton converter station. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of electrical substation project, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team within a dynamic environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. The ideal applicant will possess strong management skills, supervising experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6 project management software.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations and maintenance activities within the substation environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical standards.
- Coordinate with project teams to plan, schedule, and maintaining programme integrity and deadlines.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems within substations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project delivery and resolve technical or logistical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, inspections, incident reports, and compliance records.
- Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets while managing resources effectively.

- ECS
- Proven experience in supervising electrical projects within substations or similar environments.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to substations.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field are highly desirable.
