We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef/Apprentice to join our Kitchen team at Ellenborough Park.
Whether you already have some kitchen experience or are looking for your first opportunity in hospitality, we are interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
A formal apprenticeship is available, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career as a chef while gaining practical experience, developing professional kitchen skills and working towards a recognised qualification.

The Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will work alongside our experienced Kitchen team, helping to prepare and present dishes while developing your skills across different sections of the kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and presenting dishes to our required standards
- Completing mise en place ready for service
- Learning our menus, ingredients and preparation methods
- Ensuring food is stored, rotated and handled correctly
- Completing food safety and temperature checks
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Helping to minimise food waste
- Using kitchen equipment correctly and safely
- Supporting the Kitchen team during service
- Following Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and hotel procedures
As your skills and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience across different areas of the kitchen and continue developing your culinary career.
