What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and Coordinate: You’ll be the mastermind behind planning the daily deliveries on our own trucks and coordinating with external suppliers. Maximise revenue, keep things running smoothly, and ensure we’re delivering on time – every time!
- Lead and Inspire: Manage a fantastic team of drivers. Lead with enthusiasm and inspire them to do their best. After all, teamwork makes the dream work!
- Customer Communication: Engage with our clients, suppliers, and drivers at a high level, both verbally and in writing. You’ll be the go-to person for all their transport needs – and you’ll make it look easy!
- Data Mastery: Work with cutting-edge software like Excel and TOPs to manage schedules, track performance, and optimise everything for maximum efficiency.
- Cost Management: Keep an eye on transport costs and performance metrics to drive efficiency and profitability. We know the key to growth is keeping things cost-effective!
Skills:
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal (you’ll be talking to drivers, clients, and suppliers all day, so this is a MUST!)
- Strong organisational skills – you can juggle multiple tasks at once without breaking a sweat.
- Proficient in using Excel, TOPs, and VBS systems – you know your way around transport management software like a pro.
Knowledge:
- Familiar with key sea ports like hull and Immingham
Attitude:
