Supported Living Team Leaders

We are looking to recruit Team Leaders for two young men in New Hartley, Whitley Bay.
"I am a lively young man who will be moving into my own home in New Hartley after recently leaving school. I love the outdoors, going for walks and running around in my garden. I am going to live in my own home in New Hartley and require 2 people to support me through the day and night. I make deep connections and relationships with the people who know me well. I am non verbal but have technology to help me communicate. I want to be supported to live my best life by going out to places in my car and going for walks and experiencing new opportunities. I have a learning disability, autism, adhd and ocd and I love to be on the go and out in the fresh air."
"I am also moving to my own home in New Hartley and require 2 people to support me. I have a rare neurological condition and severe learning disability. I am full of smiles and very much enjoy the people around me and need your full attention. I need support with every aspect of daily living, and I use a wheelchair. I need staff who want to help me to lead my best life, to socialise, so I can enjoy my team and pursue a range of activities each day. I love swimming and this will be part of my plan each week."

We are looking to recruit a new supported living team leader who is flexible, creative, enthusiastic, hardworking and has the drive and resilience to provide excellent support to those individuals we support with complex individual needs to have great lives in their homes and the community. Team leaders will ‘lead from the front’ offering direct support to service users and be practice leaders in Positive Behaviour Support. This will enable you to identify changing needs of individuals and ensure the staff team are providing consistent support, following routines and PBS strategies, working towards goals and outcomes.
As part of the leadership element of the role you will be involved in rota preparation, formal supervision of staff, completing audits and ensuring support plans and risk assessments are up to date.
You must have at least one year of social care experience and be qualified to at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Previous leadership experience is desirable, as is experience of working with people whose behaviour challenges services.
A successful applicant may be eligible to progress to Level 5 diploma in Health and Social Care as part of our dedication to personal development.
Salary £31,707 per annum
(Additional Payments made for on call duties by roster)
