Heal Care Group
At Heal Care Group, our mission is to raise the bar for children in care. We run therapeutic, high-quality homes built on safety, stability, and healing. Everything we do is designed to set the gold standard and give children the strongest possible chance to thrive.
Local authorities trust us because of our high standards, calm home environments, and strong communication. Our service is guided by four core values: Humility, Empathy, Aspirational Care, and Love What You Do.
We invest heavily in our staff through training, coaching, and clear progression pathways - because outstanding care starts with confident, well-supported people.
Why Join Us?
As a Team Leader, you will guide and mentor a small team of residential support workers. You will be a calm, steady role model in the home - someone children trust, staff look up to, and professionals respect.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you help create a safe, structured, and nurturing home that supports healing and positive progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, support, and coach the residential support worker team.
- Be the responsible person on shift, handling handovers and key decisions.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children using trauma-informed and therapeutic practice.
- Support daily routines — education, activities, appointments, and life skills.
- Promote emotional resilience, consistent boundaries, and positive behaviours.
- Keep children safe by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Work closely with social workers, therapists, schools, and external agencies.
- Complete records, reports, and incident logs to a high standard.
- Work a 2-on-4-off shift pattern, including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for helping children who have experienced trauma.
- Experience in residential childcare (team leader experience is a plus).
- Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and trauma-informed care.
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or willingness to complete it).
- Calm, patient, reliable approach — especially in challenging situations.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay – in the top 5% of the sector.
- 28 days annual leave.
- Fully funded qualifications (Level 3/4/5).
- Clear career progression into Senior Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or Registered Manager roles.
- £500 Refer-a-Friend bonus.
- Employee rewards, recognition, and staff appreciation schemes.
- A supportive leadership team who invest in your growth.
- The chance to make a genuine, lasting difference in a child’s life.
