Job Description:
This is a permanent position, located in Portsmouth - Tofu Cute (the pink shop). We are looking for a new team member to work within our warehouse, which currently serves three different brands, and delivers stock to our other locations in the south.
The position consists of 25-30 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Additional overtime, sometimes at weekends, will become available if required.
Responsibilities include keeping the various parts of the warehouse in order, completing accurate stock checks, picking and packing customer orders, and working within a team. Applicants should have very good communication skills, and be reliable and motivated. Please note that lifting heavy boxes will be a regular part of this role, as you will be required to take in deliveries and rearrange stock, and our site does not have the facilities for forklifts or machinery.
The successful applicant will be required to provide references, and will be subject to a three month probation period before the position is made permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading and loading stock deliveries
- Organising stock and applying shelf codes
- Date rotation on perishable goods
- Picking and packing stock for customer orders as well as events
- Communicating with our web orders team about discrepancies and overstocks
- Labelling stock
What we are looking for:
- Similar warehouse experience is preferred
- Good numeracy skills, including accurate counting, are essential
- Ability to work in a team, or alone with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle physical tasks including working on your feet for a large percentage of your shift, and lifting boxes weighing up to 20kg
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with other team members
- A clean driving license and ability to drive a long wheel base van, not essential but would be preferred.
