Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing and supporting the development of young children, creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood education. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help lay the foundation for children’s future learning and well-being, ensuring they feel valued, confident, and excited to explore their world.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging daily activities that support children’s developmental milestones across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and motivated to learn
- Observe and assess individual children’s progress, maintaining detailed records to inform future planning
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s development and daily experiences
- Support children with their routines, including meal times, naps, and hygiene practices
- Lead small group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and independence
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare are maintained and best practices are followed
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and early childhood development principles
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- A genuine passion for childcare combined with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
