(i)GCSE & A Level Science Online Tutor (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)

Prominent Education, part of the Xinlung Group, specialises in high-quality, tailored tuition across a wide range of subjects. Due to increasing demand, we are seeking experienced tutors to deliver (i)GCSE and A Level Science tuition online, across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Candidate requirements
Essential
- Proven track record of success teaching or tutoring Science at (i)GCSE and A Level
- Able to teach at least two of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at (i)GCSE level, and at least one of them at A Level
- Teaching experience across different exam boards, including CIE, Edexcel, AQA and OCR
- Strong understanding of both the content and the assessment requirements at each level, including practical/required practical components and extended-response questions
- Availability approximately 10:00am - 2:00pm, on both weekdays and weekends, with the ability to commit to consistent, regular weekly slots
- Degree in a Science subject or a closely related discipline
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Able and willing to provide an enhanced DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred
- Exam board examiner experience for (i)GCSE or A Level Science
- Extensive experience teaching international students, with a strong ability to support Chinese students
- Mandarin-speaking ability (ideal)
- Ability to teach all three of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at (i)GCSE, and/or more than one at A Level
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school or international/independent school setting
- Experience creating Science revision resources or practice assessments
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one and small group online tuition in (i)GCSE and/or A Level Science
- Create tailored lesson plans, homework, and revision resources for students
- Support students with scientific concepts, calculations, practical and experimental understanding, and extended-response exam technique
- Prepare students for the assessment requirements of their specific exam board
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and set achievable learning goals
- Support students with exam technique and confidence-building
- Contribute to the development of internal resources and curriculum materials as needed
