White Gables is a small 20 bed Residential Care Home in the pretty village of Kirton. As part of our commitment to our residents and staff we are looking for an experienced cook to work 7am - 2pm.
This will be on a 2 week rolling rota including alternative weekends. Flexibility is required to cover sickness & holiday.
Duties will include:
- Preparing all home cooked meals ensuring that all special requirements are fully considered and catered for in accordance with resident’s care plans
- Meeting the nutritional needs of the residents at all times.
- Assisting in the preparation of menu’s in consultation with the residents and management team
- Ensuring the quantity and quality of all food serves is to the required standard
- Monitoring all kitchen/food stocks in conjunction with the home’s manager
- Ensuring that all paperwork is kept up to date in line with the company’s procedures
- Ensuring that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- Working on your own initiative and as a team
