The Role
We are recruiting for an Ad Hoc Van Driver to support a busy operation based in Oxford.
This is a flexible temporary position covering shifts as required, making it ideal for an experienced van driver looking for additional or occasional work.
The role will primarily involve multi-drop deliveries around London, so applicants must be comfortable driving in London and managing multiple deliveries throughout the day.
You will also be expected to assist with loading and unloading the van, so you must be comfortable with manual handling and the physical requirements of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries across London and surrounding areas
- Assist with loading the van before departure
- Unload goods safely at customer locations
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Complete relevant delivery paperwork
- Carry out basic vehicle checks
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
- Follow road traffic regulations and company procedures
What We're Looking For
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Previous van or multi-drop delivery experience preferred
- Confident driving in and around London
- Comfortable assisting with loading and unloading
- Physically capable of manual handling
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule
- Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis
- Ability to comfortable lift up to 20kg
