Early riser? Love the quiet buzz of a well run kitchen before the city wakes up? We’re looking for a Breakfast Chef (temporary 4-month contract with possibility to extend) to join our team at No.4 Clifton Village - part of Bristol’s independent Quarter hospitality group in Clifton.
This mornings‑only Breakfast Chef role offers part time hours (25 hours per week, worked over 5 short shifts), perfect for an experienced chef who wants their afternoons and evenings free.
£13 per hour + up to £100 per month in on-target bonuses, in addition to an on-target quarterly bonus of up to £250
25 hours per week, typically worked over 5 short morning shifts
Temporary, fixed term contract for a duration of 4 months. There will be potential scope to extend this further.
Shifts start 6am weekdays / 7am weekends, finish by 11am weekdays / 12pm weekends
Most of your shifts in this role will fall Monday-Friday, however we are looking for flexibility to do occasional weekend shifts where required, as per rota needs

Running the breakfast service at No.4 - mainly catering to guests of the on-site Hotel, the Rodney Hotel
Preparing, cooking and plating classic fresh breakfasts to order - not a hot buffet
Working as solo chef for the breakfast service, managing cook-offs and prep independently, maintaining speed and quality
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the daytime brigade
Proven experience in a professional, high quality kitchen
Strong cooking skills and consistency under pressure
Reliability - you’ll open the kitchen and set the tone for the day
Calm, organised and methodical approach

This role is a great fit for chefs who value early starts, quality cooking and genuine autonomy - you’ll have the kitchen to yourself most mornings, but will need to work well with our small front of house team, so good teamworking and a friendly personality is a must.
No.4 Clifton Village is a fine dining restaurant and events venue in Clifton Village, sharing a building with the Rodney Hotel - the breakfast service is for hotel guests. With a focus on the friendly but professional service and a range of guests - from wedding guests to those enjoying afternoon tea, this is a varied and fun venue to work in.
