This pivotal role ensures that students with complex learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs are supported to access education and achieve their EHCP outcomes. Through enabling them to maximise their independence, participation, and wellbeing, you will support them to develop functional life skills to prepare them for adulthood.
You will be responsible for delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students. This will be achieved through working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and include providing guidance and support to education and learning support staff members to maintain exceptional standards of care, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and excellence to support meaningful learning experiences for students with special needs.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable with a genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs. You will need a calm and empathetic approach, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
