About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Night Care Assistant to join our night team working weekends. This role is crucial in maintaining residents’ wellbeing, comfort, and safety overnight, offering reassurance and responsive care in a calm and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care in line with individual care plans
- Assist residents with personal care, including toileting, repositioning, and comfort needs
- Carry out regular night checks and maintain accurate and timely records
- Respond promptly and appropriately to call bells and emergencies
- Promote residents’ dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Maintain a safe, calm, and clean night‑time environment
- Work effectively as part of the night team and provide clear handovers to day staff
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a residential care setting is essential
- A caring, patient, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work reliably and independently during night hours
- Calm and confident when responding to emergencies or unexpected situations
- Good communication and record‑keeping skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional standards of care
