Code Kids | Holiday camps | School holidays, with optional term-time work
If you're a teacher, or someone who loves the idea of teaching technology to children, we'd love to hear from you. In return we'll offer you fun, rewarding work during the school holidays at one of our tech camps in London.
Code Kids is one of the UK's leading providers of technology and creative-design courses for children aged 6 to 14. We run holiday workshops at venues across London, with a mission to make world-class technology education affordable for every child.
Never written a line of code or built a robot? Don't worry — it really isn't rocket science, and we'll invest in your training. All we ask is that you bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, and we'll help with the rest. You'll always work as part of a team of two or more Educators and Camp Leaders, so you're never on your own.
If you'd like to carry on with us during term time after the summer, even better — we have plenty of ongoing opportunities both for online and in person teaching. When you work and for how long is largely up to you; we know how much flexibility matters.
You'll need to be available for one or more of our camp venues in the Wimbledon, Dulwich or Greenwich area.
What we're looking for
- Qualified teachers with KS2 (or higher) experience, university students, or those studying for a PGCE / in teacher training
- Total reliability and a genuine commitment to safeguarding
- An Enhanced DBS certificate with Children's Barred List check (if you don't have one, we'll arrange it on your behalf)
- Willingness to attend our Child Safeguarding and First Aid training
- Energy, enthusiasm, and strong personal values
- A real interest in education and in working with children
- Confidence dealing with both parents and children, and being highly organised
- A keen interest in technology and the ability to pick up technical concepts quickly to lead sessions — prior coding knowledge is not required, as full training is provided
- Flexibility, and willingness to travel to your assigned venue each day
The qualities that matter most to us are strong values, a desire to teach, and the responsibility to make sure every child has a safe and enjoyable place to learn.
