Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various technical trades, including plumbing, tiling, and carpentry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision, technical expertise, and a proactive approach. The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of structures and equipment across multiple sites. Candidates must be committed to safety standards and quality workmanship And possess their own tools. A works van will be provided as well as company expenses fuel card.
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical schematics, drawings, and specifications to execute fitting tasks accurately
- Install, assemble, and repair structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct welding, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, masonry, and construction painting as required
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications to meet project specifications
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Assist in the maintenance of site safety protocols and hazard identification
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
- Maintain organised work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Experience
- Proven experience in construction-related trades such as plumbing, carpentry, tiling
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Experience working with construction materials including plastering compounds and masonry products
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction environments
- Previous experience in plumbing , carpentry, tiling essential
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance
