We are looking for a Business Support Administrator to join our both our Electrical Engineering (3 days) & Highways team (2 days).
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Administrator to join the Business Support Team where you will be based at our Highways & Transportation Team at the Boroughbridge Depot YO51 9HU, and travel to the Electrical Engineering Depot at Leeming Bar DL7 9AL (own transport will be required and mileage will be covered- to be discussed at interview)
The role of the team is to provide high quality, professional support to a range of operational teams within the Environment Service, liaising with internal and external customers. You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
This is a great introduction to how the Business Support and Highway Teams work together, supporting the community and is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding that may lead to further development in the Business Support or a career within the Highways teams.
About you:
You will be a highly motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills, as a key part of this role is to liaise with customers and other agencies on behalf of the operational team. You will be dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information, both written and verbal, and will liaise with members of the public and professionals. The day-to-day core focus is providing support to the operational and frontline services, and you will require excellent ICT skills and have experience of using Microsoft packages.
The main aspect of this role will involve submitting service requests on behalf of our customers, raising orders for our Electrical Engineering Team, and being a point of contact for our Customer Service Centre.
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Diversity and Health and Safety requirements for working within an office environment.
